Coprosma repens, commonly known as the Mirror Bush, NZ Laurel, Shiny Leaf, or Taupata, is a hardy, NZ native shrub that features glossy, dark green leaves. The foliage is held somewhat densely on sprawling branches and is adorned with orange berries in summer which are great for attracting birds. It typically grows to 3 m tall and 2 m wide and can be trimmed as necessary. Taupata grows best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained soil, though it is tolerant of coastal conditions, wind, frost, cool climates, heavy soils, and extended dry periods.
