Coprosma rugosa Lobster, commonly known as Mountain Coprosma or Needle Coprosma, is a NZ native shrub renowned for its distinctive, lobster-red stems. Tiny, green leaves are held on the narrow branches which intertwine to give the shrub a tangled and twisted appearance. It typically grows to 60 cm tall and 1.2 m wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site, though colouring will be more intense in full sun.
