Correa baeuerlenii Details

Correa baeuerlenii, commonly known as Chefs Cap Correa, is a vigorous and fast-growing shrub. The foliage is made up of dark coloured stems which carry fresh-green leaves. This becomes adorned with cream-lime green flowers in summer which hang gracefully across the plant. It typically grows to 1.5 m tall and the same wide, and performs best when positioned in full-sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It tolerates dry periods, moderate frost, and coastal environments, but is intolerant of heavy, wet soils. Chefs Cap Correa is commonly added to mixed plantings, used in coastal gardens, planted to attract birds, or maintained in a container. It is well suited to planting in dry areas where other plants may struggle.
