Cytisus Plant, Cytisus Ruby, Ruby Broom Plant, Cytisus scoparius Ruby, Cytisus x boskoopii
Cytisus Ruby is a small, deciduous shrub grown for its prolific flowering. Masses of dark red, pea-like flowers are borne from spring through summer, literally coating the plant and transforming it into a visual splendour. It produces slender, green stems that host small, dark green leaves, and typically grows to 1.2 m tall and the same wide. Cytisus Ruby is commonly included in mixed plantings, grown as an informal hedge, showcased with a mass planting on a bank, or used to brighten a bland corner.
