Daphne bholua Jacqueline Postill is grown for its lovely foliage and scented flowers. This shrub grows with a rounded shape and carries leathery, dark green leaves. The highlight of this plant, however, are the highly fragrant, pink flowers which appear in spring. This evergreen typically grows to 2 m tall and 1.5 m wide, and performs best when it is grown in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered site that is slightly acidic. It is tolerant of moderate frosts and cool climates, but is intolerant of poorly drained soils and extended dry periods. In cool climates it may become deciduous, but otherwise remains evergreen.
