Echium fastuosum is a stunning and popular, evergreen shrub due to both its foliage and dramatic flowers. It features grey-green leaves that grow as large and broad rosettes around the stems.  Large and showy flower spikes, made up of tiny, bright blue flowers, form at the ends of stems and rise above the foliage through spring and summer. It typically grows to 1.5 m tall and 2 m wide, growing best when planted on a well-drained site in full sun. It is a hardy plant and will cope with moderate frost, dry periods, and coastal environments.
