Pink Pixie Escallonia

The Pink Pixie Escallonia is renowned for both its attractive foliage and quaint flowers. Glossy, green leaves give way to clusters of pale pink-white flowers through spring and summer. It is an easily grown shrub with a bushy habit and typically grows to 1 m tall and the same wide. Best performance is achieved when planted in full sun on a well-drained site though it is hardy to frost, wind, and coastal conditions. The Pink Pixie Escallonia is commonly included in mixed plantings or trimmed into a hedge with plants spaced 50 cm apart. A mass planting produces a stunning display.

Escallonia Pink Pixie Hedge

An Escallonia Pink Pixie Hedge looks amazing when grown and managed correctly. Start by spacing the plants 40-50 cm apart. This is the optimum spacing for a dense hedge that will grow quickly. As the hedge start to grow opt for a little and often trimming regime. This helps to keep the plants bushy. The best Escallonia Pink Pixie hedge is achieved by trimming it in spring and again in autumn.
