Fuchsia Hartis Ballerina is a variety of fuchsia favoured for its exquisite flowers. It becomes smothered in showy, single flowers which are dark purple and red from late spring until autumn. They are complemented with lush, dark green foliage. It typically grows to 60 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered site. It will tolerate light frost once established and should not be allowed to dry out during summer. Plants are typically evergreen, but may be deciduous in cooler climates. Fuchsia Hartis Ballerina is commonly included in a mixed planting, grown around outdoor living areas, added to a cottage garden, maintained in a container, or planted around the base of trees and shrubs.
