Gardenia Fragrant Star is commonly known as the Cape Jasmine Plant, and is a popular, evergreen shrub featuring exquisite flowers. It produces large, single, perfumed, white blooms from summer through winter. The flowers contrast perfectly with the lush and glossy, dark green foliage. It typically grows to 1 m tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of light frost only. The Cape Jasmine Plant looks most impressive when mass planted or trimmed into a hedge. It is commonly included in a mixed planting, planted around outdoor living areas, included in tropical or “white” gardens, or maintained in a container.
