Gardenia jasminoides, commonly known as Cape Jasmine or Common Gardenia, is a popular plant that bears exquisite and intensely fragrant, double, white flowers from spring through until autumn. It typically grows to 1.5 m tall and the same wide and grows best in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. Gardenia jasminoides puts on the best displays when mass planted but is also effective for planting around outdoor living areas, adding to a mixed planting, maintaining in a container, or for including in a tropical or “white” garden.

This popular plant bears exquisite and intensely fragrant, double, white flowers from spring through until autumn. The flowers age to a cream colour and contrast perfectly with the dark green, glossy foliage.
