Haloragis erecta, commonly known as Toatoa or Fireweed, is a NZ native shrub grown for its bronze coloured, saw-toothed leaves. The flowers are green-yellow and somewhat inconspicuous. It typically grows to 1.5 m tall and 3 m wide. Haloragis erecta is commonly added to mixed plantings, used as a back drop for smaller plants, or planted around the base of larger trees.

Haloragis erecta, commonly known as Toatoa or Fireweed, is a NZ native shrub grown for its bronze coloured, saw-toothed leaves. The flowers are green-yellow and somewhat inconspicuous. It typically grows to 1.5 m tall and 3 m wide, performing best when grown in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is a hardy plant that will tolerate a range of soil conditions.
