Commonly known as the NZ Lilac, this is a NZ native shrub grown for its pretty flowers and foliage. Short and showy clusters of small white flowers are borne in summer across the entire plant. The foliage comprises short and thick, grey-green leaves held densely on short stems which complements the flowers nicely. This evergreen typically grows to 40 cm tall and 60 cm wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It is a hardy plant that will tolerate heavy soils, extended dry periods, coastal conditions, frost, and some wind. This is a great plant for borders, mixed plantings, lining walkways, or for growing in a container. A mass planting creates an impressive display with this low maintenance and easy to grow plant.
