Hebe Amy is grown for its foliage and flowers. It grows as an upright shrub with burgundy stems, and new growth that is olive green which matures to dark green with purple overtones. The foliage is adorned during summer and autumn with masses of blue flowers rise above the foliage as it grows to 90 cm tall and 60 cm wide. Hebe Amy looks most effective when planted in clusters and is commonly included in a mixed planting, used in borders, planted around outdoor living areas, maintained in a container, or added to a cottage garden. It is also well suited to being mass planted on a bank or the like.
