Hebe Audrey Hepburn is grown for its compact form and prolific flowering through summer and autumn. Short flower spikes carrying pink flowers are borne amidst the lush and glossy, green leaves. This NZ native grows with a rounded shape to about 80 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It is a hardy shrub that will tolerate coastal conditions, dry periods, cool climates, and frost, though protection from heavy frosts is recommended. Hebe Audrey Hepburn is ideal for including in a mixed planting, mass planting either as a groundcover or on a bank, adding to borders, including in cottage gardens, or planting around outdoor living areas.
