Hebe Caledonia Details

Hebe Caledonia is a smaller variety Hebe and features lovely foliage and flowers. The new foliage emerges an intense purple colour and ages to take on dark green overtones. Clusters of showy, violet-coloured flowers complement the foliage during summer and autumn. It typically grows to 60 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of frost, cool climates, moderate wind, dry periods, and coastal conditions. Caledonia looks most effective when planted in clusters and is commonly included in a mixed planting, used in borders, planted around outdoor living areas, maintained in a container, or added to a cottage garden. It is also well suited to being mass planted on a bank or the like.
