The foliage is complemented during winter and spring with clusters of tiny, mauve-white flowers at the ends of branches as it grows to 1 m tall and the same wide. Hebe elliptica looks most effective when planted in groups and is commonly included in mixed plantings, borders, or planted around the base of larger trees.
