Hebe Marie Antoinette is grown for its lovely flowers and foliage. The showy flower clusters from summer through autumn are pink-purple and fade to white with age. These are held above the lush and glossy, dark green leaves that emerge from dark pink buds. It grows as a bushy, evergreen shrub to about 75 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when grown in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of frost, cool climates, coastal conditions, and dry periods. Hebe Marie Antoinette is commonly included in a mixed planting, used in borders, grown in a container, planted around outdoor living areas, or mass planted on a bank or the like for a very effective display.
