Magenta Hebe

Hebe Magenta is a very showy shrub which is grown for its foliage and flowers. This NZ native evergreen features glossy green leaves and large spikes of dark pink flowers. The flowers are produced from summer through autumn and literally coat the plant. It typically grows to 1 m tall and 1.5 m wide and can be trimmed as necessary. It is a hardy plant that will tolerate dry periods, poorer soils, and moderate frost. It does, however, grow best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, fertile site. Hebe Magenta is commonly included in a mixed or border planting, planted around outdoor living areas, or included in native plantings.
