Hibiscus syriacus Helene is grown for its white flowers which have a red centre and a papery appearance. These are produced through summer and autumn off upright, slender branches which also host glossy green leaves as it grows to 1.5 m tall and the same wide. Hibiscus Helene is commonly used as a showy specimen, for hedging or screening, in mixed plantings, grown in a container, added to a tropical garden, or planted around the barbecue area.

Hibiscus syriacus Helene is grown for its showy flowers. The single, white flowers with a red centre, have a papery appearance, and are produced through summer and autumn off upright, slender branches which also hosts glossy green leaves. It typically grows to 1.5 m tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of moderate frost and may become deciduous or partially deciduous in such climates.
