Royal Highness Hibiscus

The Royal Highness Hibiscus is grown for its large and showy flowers. The flowers are apricot orange with the colour changing to a deep red towards the centre. They appear through summer and autumn on upright, slender branches which also host glossy green leaves. It typically grows to 1.5 m tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of short periods of dry as well as only very light frost once established. In cool climates it may become partially deciduous during winter.
