Hydrangea macrophylla Alpengluhen

Hydrangea macrophylla Alpengluhen features balls of pink or blue flowers (depending on the soil pH) from summer through autumn. On alkaline soils the flowers will be a fantastic shade of pink and on acid soils they are blue with purple overtones. The flowers are complemented with large and lush, dark green leaves. It grows as a multi-stemmed, deciduous shrub with a rounded form to about 1.2 m tall and the same wide and can be trimmed as necessary. Best results with this variety are achieved when it is planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained soil that is slightly acidic. It is hardy to cool climates, frost, and short periods of dry.
