Hydrangea Nigra is a stunning variety with large, soft pink flower heads when grown on alkaline soils. On acidic soils the flowers are blue. These are borne from summer through autumn and sit perfectly above the dark green foliage as it grows to 1.2 m tall and the same wide. Hydrangea Nigra is a great variety for adding to a mixed planting, maintaining in a container, including in a cottage garden, or for planting around an outdoor living area.
