Hydrangea Alice Details

Hydrangea quercifolia Alice features large and showy flowers about 25-35 cm long. The white blooms appear in early summer and gradually fade to pink, lasting about 10 weeks in total. The rich green leaves turn bronze-maroon in autumn before falling. It typically grows to 1.5 m tall and the same wide and is commonly pruned to maintain size and shape. Best results with this variety are achieved when it is planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained soil that is slightly acidic. It is hardy to cool climates, frost, and short periods of dry.
