“Coconut Ice” is a small shrub grown for its masses of tiny, pink flowers. The flowers in late winter are attached to wiry stems which also host small, dark green leaves. It typically grows to 80 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. This is a hardy plant that will tolerate drought, cool climates, heavy soils, and coastal environments. “Coconut Ice” is commonly included in mixed plantings and borders, maintained in a container, planted around water features or outdoor living areas, included in cottage gardens, or mass planted for an impressive display.
