The male form of Ilex aquifolium ‘Angustifolia’, commonly known as the Narrow Leaf English Holly, is grown for its foliage. It carries narrow and spiny, glossy, dark green leaves. This evergreen, English Holly grows with a dense, multi-stemmed, and spreading habit to about 2 m tall and 1.5 m wide. Best results with this variety are achieved when it is planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of dry periods, cool climates, frost, and coastal conditions.
