Ilex Mariesii, Mariesii Japanese Holly
Ilex crenata Mariesii is a variety of Holly that carries small and glossy, green leaves held densely and tightly on rigid stems. Small, white, flowers are produced in spring and result in distinctive, black berries in summer as it grows to 2 m tall and 1.2 same wide. The relatively fine texture and columnar growth habit of Ilex Mariesii sets it apart from other landscape plants making it ideal for adding to a mixed planting, using to line a path or entrance, or planting as a backdrop for smaller plants.
