Laurus nobilis Pride of Provence is a variety of Laurel selected for its compact growth habit. This evergreen tree features lush and glossy, dark green leaves which are aromatic and somewhat leathery in appearance. Flowers produced in spring are pale yellow-green and result in small, glossy, black berries. It typically grows to 2 m tall and the same wide and can be trimmed as necessary. This Laurel grows best when planted on a well-drained site in full sun. It is tolerant of frost, dry periods, and moderate wind but should be protected while it is establishing.
