Foveaux Storm Lavender

The Foveaux Storm Lavender grows as a compact shrub and carries masses of short, blue-purple flower spikes through spring and summer. The foliage is green-grey and complements the darker flowers nicely. Both the flowers and foliage produce a lovely aroma when cut or brushed against. This evergreen typically grows to 50 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when planted on a well-drained, sheltered site in full sun. It is hardy and will tolerate dry periods and moderate frost once established. The Foveaux Storm Lavender is often used in cottage gardens, added to a mixed planting, used in borders, planted around outdoor living areas, or maintained in a container.
