Lavandula Pretty Polly is an outstanding variety of Spanish Lavender that grows as a compact shrub and bears masses of beautiful, purple and cream flower spikes from spring through summer. The foliage is green-grey and complements the flowers nicely. Both the flowers and foliage produce a lovely aroma when cut or brushed against. This evergreen typically grows to 40 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when planted on a well-drained site in full sun. It is a hardy plant that will tolerate dry periods but does require protection from heavy frosts, particularly when young. Lavandula Pretty Polly is commonly used in cottage gardens, included in mixed plantings and borders, planted around outdoor living areas, trimmed into a hedge, or maintained in a container. It is also well suited to mass planting on a bank or using as a groundcover and in both instances will produce a stunning display. For hedging space plants 25 cm apart.
