Leptospermum Andromeda is a fast growing, NZ native shrub that produces an abundance of large, bright pink flowers through spring and summer. The flowers are attractive to bees from which Manuka honey is produced. The foliage consists of finely pointed, mid green leaves and gives off a pleasant fragrance, particularly on warm days as it grows to about 2 m tall and the same wide. Leptospermum Andromeda is commonly included in mixed plantings, used for screening, shelter, hedging, as backdrop for other plantings, in revegetation planting, or planted to attract native fauna.

Leptospermum Andromeda is a fast growing, NZ native shrub that produces an abundance of large, bright pink flowers through spring and summer. The flowers are attractive to bees from which Manuka honey is produced. The foliage consists of finely pointed, mid green leaves and gives off a pleasant fragrance, particularly on warm days. It typically grows to about 2 m tall and the same wide when planted in full sun and new growth can be trimmed as necessary. Shaded conditions will produce an open plant with reduced flowering. It will tolerate drought, poorer drained sites, frost, and cool climates. Leptospermum Andromeda is commonly included in mixed plantings, used for screening, shelter, hedging, as backdrop for other plantings, in revegetation planting, or planted to attract native fauna. The fine foliage and floriferous nature of this shrub makes it a fine addition to any garden.
