Leptospermum Dark Night is a NZ native shrub which is renowned for its pretty flowers and dark foliage. This showy shrub produces masses of purple flowers with a dark centre during spring and summer. The foliage comprises small, dark purple-green leaves which complement the flowers nicely. This evergreen shrub typically grows to 2 m tall and the same wide, though can be contained with trimming. It performs best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. This hardy plant will tolerate dry periods, coastal environments, frost, cool climates, and a wide range of soil conditions, barring the extremes of wet and dry.
