Leptospermum Kea is a small shrub that produces masses of exquisite, pink flowers with a dark centre from spring through summer. The flowers literally blanket the plant. The foliage consists of small, dark green leaves which are held densely and give off a pleasant fragrance on warm days or when brushed against as it grows to 50 cm tall and the same wide. Leptospermum Kea is commonly included in a mixed planting, used in borders, planted around outdoor living areas, mass planted on a bank or as a groundcover, or simply maintained in a container.

Leptospermum nanum Kea

Leptospermum nanum Kea is a small shrub that produces masses of exquisite, pink flowers with a dark centre from spring through summer. The flowers literally blanket the plant. The foliage consists of small, dark green leaves which are held densely and give off a pleasant fragrance on warm days or when brushed against. This evergreen shrub typically grows to 50 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is a hardy plant and will tolerate dry periods, coastal conditions, moderate frost, some wind, and a wide range of soil conditions barring extreme wet or dry. Leptospermum nanum Kea is commonly included in a mixed planting, used in borders, planted around outdoor living areas, mass planted on a bank or as a groundcover, or simply maintained in a container.
