Leptospermum Martini, Leptospermum Martinii, Leptospermum scoparium Martini, scoparium Martini
Leptospermum Martini (aka Leptospermum Martinii) is a variety of Manuka grown for its prolific flowering. It produces masses of double, white flowers that age to magenta pink during spring and summer. The foliage comprises small, rounded, dark green leaves which provide a lovely backdrop to the flowers as it grows to 3 m tall and 2.5 m wide. Leptospermum scoparium Martini is commonly used as a backdrop for smaller plants, included in a mixed planting, trimmed into a hedge, or planted against a bland wall.
