Leucophyta brownii, commonly known as the Cushion Bush Plant, is an impressive Australian native. It produces silver stems which grow with a twisted manner and result in the plant having a ball shape, hence its common name, the Cushion Bush. Tiny, silver-grey leaves are held tightly against the stems as it grows to 1 m tall and the same wide. Leucophyta brownii is commonly included in a mixed or border planting, used to line an entranceway, planted around outdoor living areas such as pools and the like, maintained in a container, used in Mediterranean themed gardens, or planted anywhere this unusual looking plant can be appreciated.
