Ligustrum vulgare, known as the Common Privet, is a fast-growing, compact shrub grown for its form, foliage, and flowers. It grows as rounded bush carrying small green leaves which is adorned with masses of white flowers during spring. This evergreen typically grows to 3 m tall and the same wide but is often contained with trimming. Ligustrum vulgare is often clipped into a hedge, added to a mixed planting, or used as a backdrop for smaller plants.

Ligustrum vulgare, known as the Common Privet, is a fast-growing, compact shrub grown for its form, foliage, and flowers. It grows as rounded bush carrying small green leaves. The foliage is adorned with masses of white flowers during spring which literally transform the plant.
