Lophomyrtus obcordata is a NZ native, evergreen shrub that typically grows to 4 m tall and 3 m wide. The leaves are heart-shaped, small, and held densely off short stems. These are adorned in summer with small yet showy, white flowers which then turn into red-violet fruit. Lophomyrtus obcordata makes a great addition to a mixed planting or for planting around larger trees. With timely trimming it also makes for a fantastic hedge.

Lophomyrtus obcordata is a NZ native, evergreen shrub that typically grows to 4 m tall and 3 m wide. The leaves are heart-shaped, small, and held densely off short stems. These are adorned in summer with small yet showy, white flowers which then turn into red-violet fruit. Best performance with this shrub is achieved when planted in full sun on a well-drained site with good soil moisture. It is tolerant of frost, cool climates, and dry periods once established. Lophomyrtus obcordata makes a great addition to a mixed planting or for planting around larger trees. With timely trimming it also makes for a fantastic hedge.
