“Plum Delight” is an evergreen shrub grown for its spectacularly coloured flowers and foliage. It produces mildly fragrant, pink flowers through winter and spring which are unusual yet very aesthetic. The foliage is oval, rich purple, and provides a stunning backdrop to the flowers. It grows densely to about 1 m tall and 1.5 m wide, performing best when planted on a well-drained, sheltered site in full sun. It is hardy to moderate frost and will tolerate dry periods and coastal environments. “Plum Delight” is commonly included in a mixed planting, planted around outdoor living areas, trimmed into a hedge, or grown for winter colour and fragrance.
