Metrosideros Little Ewan is an outstanding variety of Pohutukawa due to its compact form, attractive foliage, and showy flowers. New foliage emerges light green and ages to become dark green. The foliage serves as a lovely complement to the clusters of red-orange flowers which are borne throughout spring and summer as it grows to 1 m tall and the same wide. Metrosideros Little Ewan is an excellent choice for coastal gardens, adding to a mixed planting, or mass planting for a wonderful display. It also suits container growing, being trimmed into a low hedge, including in a border, or planting around outdoor living areas.

Metrosideros Little Ewan is an outstanding variety of Pohutukawa due to its compact form, attractive foliage, and showy flowers. New foliage emerges light green and ages to become dark green. The foliage serves as a lovely complement to the clusters of red-orange flowers which are borne throughout spring and summer. This NZ Christmas Tree typically grows to 1 m tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site. This Pohutukawa is tolerant of poor soils, dry periods, light frost once established, and coastal climates.
