Oleander splendens, Nerium splendens, Nerium Oleander splendens giganteum
“Splendens” is a vigorous shrub grown for its dazzling display of flowers. This vigorous plant grows densely with branches holding long, dark green leaves. The plant is adorned during summer with showy clusters of double pink flowers which sit neatly above the foliage. It typically grows to 2.5 m tall and 2 m wide, but can be trimmed as necessary. This variety grow best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site, and is tolerant of coastal environments, moderate frost, and dry periods. “Splendens” makes a great informal hedge and looks impressive in mixed plantings, as well as in cottage gardens. Please note: all parts of the plant are poisonous.
