Olearia Dartonii Details

Olearia Dartonii is a NZ native shrub and is commonly known as the Twiggy Tree Daisy. It carries fine, grey leaves which are held densely on slender stems. The foliage is complemented with fragrant, white flowers in spring. It typically grows to about 3 m tall and 2 m wide and can be trimmed as necessary. Best results with this plant are achieved when it is grown in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of coastal environments, periods of dry, some wind, moderate frost, and a wide range of soil conditions, barring extreme wet or dry. Olearia Dartonii is commonly included in a mixed or native planting, planted for shelter and screening, trimmed into a hedge, included in coastal gardens, or used as a backdrop for smaller plants.
