Philadelphus Lemoinei Details

Philadelphus lemoinei is a variety of Mock Orange selected for its stunning and fragrant flowers. During late spring and early summer, it becomes adorned with masses of scented, single, white blooms. They are held on arching branches and literally transform the plant. The foliage comprises mid green leaves which contrast well with the flowers and are attractive in their own right. It typically grows to 1.5 m tall and the same wide and can be trimmed as necessary. Best performance with this plant is achieved when it is grown in full sun on a well-drained site. This deciduous shrub is also tolerant of frosts and cool climates but does require good moisture levels during dry periods. Philadelphus lemoinei is commonly used in a mixed planting, as a backdrop for smaller plants, or included anywhere its beauty and fragrance can be enjoyed.
