Philadelphus virginalis, commonly known as Mock Orange, is grown for its stunning flowers. It produces masses of the scented, double, pure white blooms in spring. The foliage comprises dark green leaves which contrast well with the flowers as it grows to 1.5 m tall and the same wide. Philadelphus virginalis is commonly added to a mixed planting, used as a backdrop for smaller plants, added to cottage or “white” gardens, or included anywhere its beauty and fragrance can be enjoyed.
