Phyllocladus alpinus, commonly known as the Mountain Toatoa or Mountain Celery Pine, is a bushy, NZ native, small tree that grows to about 6 m tall and 2.5 m wide. It features green foliage which differs between the juvenile and adult forms. Phyllocladus alpinus is commonly added to a mixed planting where something a little different is desired or used in revegetation plantings. It is also great for screening or as a backdrop for smaller plants.
