Pieris Valley Rose Details

Pieris Valley Rose is a decorative and colourful, evergreen shrub. This compact, rounded shrub carries chains of pink flower buds that open into pink flowers but mature to become white. The mildly fragrant flowers are borne through winter and spring on pendent like clusters on graceful stems. The new foliage is bronze but matures to become leathery, glossy, and dark green. It typically grows to 1.2 m tall and the same wide, performing best when planted on a well-drained site in full sun or partial shade. Leaf colouring and flowering will be reduced as the levels of shade are increased and it is frost hardy once established. Pieris Valley Rose makes for a superb specimen in a small garden and is well suited to growing in a container, adding to mixed plantings, formal gardens, or for border planting.
