Pittosporum kirkii Details

Pittosporum kirkii is a shrub grown for its foliage and petite flowers. It carries thick, fleshy green leaves which becomes adorned with small, yellow flowers through summer. The flowers result in large, black seed pods. It typically grows to 4 m tall and the same wide and can be trimmed as necessary. It is tolerant of most soil types except extreme wet and will grow in shaded conditions though it will become less dense. It is also tolerant of wind, coastal conditions, periods of dry hardy, and frost once established. Pittosporum kirkii is ideal for shelter, screening, hedging, as a backdrop for smaller plants, or for including in native plantings.
