It grows with a tight and upright habit to about 2 m tall and 1.2 m wide. Pittosporum Lighten Up is commonly used for shelter, screening, and hedging. It makes an attractive specimen and is often used as a backdrop to other plants or planted around outdoor living areas to provide both privacy and lovely aesthetics.

Pittosporum Lighten Up Details

Pittosporum tenuifolium Lighten Up is a NZ native shrub grown for its colourful foliage. It carries small and glossy leaves that are golden yellow with a olive green margin held on near black stems. It grows with a tight and upright habit to about 2 m tall and 1.2 m wide, and can be trimmed as necessary. Best results with this plant are achieved when it is planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of most soil types, except extreme wet or dry, moderate shade and frost, wind, and coastal conditions. Pittosporum Lighten Up is commonly used for shelter, screening, and hedging. It makes an attractive specimen and is often used as a backdrop to other plants or planted around outdoor living areas to provide both privacy and lovely aesthetics.
