Pittosporum tenuifolium Tasman Ruffles is grown for its gorgeous, fresh foliage. The foliage on this shrub is small, rounded, and wavy, with lime green leaves held on dark stems. It typically grows to 3 m tall and 2 m wide but can be trimmed as necessary. Best performance with this plant is achieved when it is grown in full sun on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of most soil types, except extreme wet, and tends to be more open in shadier conditions. This hardy plant is also tolerant of coastal conditions, making it ideal for shelter, screening, and hedging in NZ gardens. Pittosporum Tasman Ruffles also makes an attractive specimen or as a lovely back drop to smaller plants. For hedging space plants 50 cm apart.
