Potentilla fruticosa, commonly known as Shrubby Cinquefoil, is grown for its elegant flowers. Single, yellow flowers flushed with orange literally coat the plant from late spring through summer. These sit neatly above the green, fern like foliage. It typically grows to 1 m tall and 1.5 m wide, preferring a well-drained, sheltered site in full sun for best results. In cool climates the plants may become deciduous during winter, but otherwise it will remain evergreen.
