This variety of Prostanthera is grown for its prolific flowering and aromatic foliage. This bushy, evergreen carries small and glossy green, highly aromatic leaves which becomes adorned with small and beautiful, lilac flowers through spring and summer. The flowers literally transform the plant into a spectre of beauty. It typically grows to 2 m tall and 1.5 m wide, growing best in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. It will tolerate frost once established but will otherwise handle cool climates as well as periods of dry. This shrub is commonly included in a mixed or border planting, maintained in a container, included in cottage gardens, planted around outdoor living areas, or included anywhere the beauty and fragrance of this plant can be enjoyed.
