Pseudopanax Black Knight is grown for its dark coloured foliage. It features broad and leathery leaves which are a rich, dark purple but become almost black during winter. The foliage is held densely on this evergreen as it grows to 2 m tall and 1.5 m wide. It can be trimmed as necessary and performs best when grown on a well-drained site in full sun.
